Within your lifetime the world of your forefathers has ceased to exist. The war of the gods ended with a mighty cataclysm that sundered and reshaped the land. When the gods retreated to Lympaea - mankind was left with the ruins of their war. After three decades, a measure of stability has returned as trade routes have reopened between the city states. Veridios, once the neutral ground of the gods, finds a new purpose to bring together those who would work together in the new Veridion League. It is a time of discovery - where information fuels power.
You can begin your explorations at the Great Library of Veridios. In addition to the art, histories, and texts stored there you can also find the Codex Veridia, an ever expanding tome accumulating the new discoveries that pour into the capital city daily about the world after the Cataclysm.
While still in the city you may also want to visit the Pantheon. Damaged during the war and restored by the Pontifus Maximus, the divine temple still serves as the central focal of Veridion worship. Even though the gods have left, they can still intercede with miracles and magic in the affairs of man.
After learning what you can at these centers it is time to begin exploring on your own. The city of Veridios and the twelve city-states of the Veridion League have much to offer to those enterprising enough to undertake the hazardous travel to visit them. One of the twelve is likely the city of your birth - but you should visit the others as well to learn of their differences.
